My wife had started sharing her Google Maps location with me months ago and recently pressured/guilted/forced me to turn mine on as well. I can still pause it or turn it off and say my phone wasn't getting service or something, but it still makes me feel paranoid, like she's always watching. That's bad enough, I will never own one of these EVs that's constantly connected to THE CLOUD™. I'm grateful for my pseudo-luxury compact car whose app never works LOL.

Yep. It ruins it because even as your getting service, part of your brain is wondering if the phone's gonna ring or if it's actively being tracked. GRRRRR
