Weird Search Function Creeping Me Out

when you advanced search there’s a “search child forums as well”
What is this? Feels very weird/creepy when I search and i have to turn that function off. I want nothing to do with anything like that. Are there child forums on this site? If so, direct to jail for those sickos.

Are you serious? "Child" forums are just sub forums of a particular area.

Why not list it as sub forums then? This website is a review site for AMPs, I’m not crazy for being put off by that. Also I’m not particularly tech/computer savvy so I didn’t know that term

You never hears of parent/child in databases? It started there I believe and now has branched out to many different aspects such as sub pages within forums and the like. .
