Just curious, my friend. I would like to think our phone carriers keep our information private but if you're saying they don't it's good to know.

this is also why you minimize your risk and go to amps and don't run the risk of dealing with BS lie that. IMO its someone's own fault for dipping their toe into a place where the risk is no minimized.

It’s a scam..don’t fall for it…and for those of you that think it’s real. Do research on scams. You have smart phones…use it.

Whenever I get one of these text messages, I try to waste there time as much as possible. I feel like the more time they waste on me, the less chances somebody else is getting scam.

For example…this one time, I just kept replying “Yes sir” over and over again…just to see how far I could go with it…took them about 3 hours for them to realize I was just fucking with them before they gave up lol

I got these text numerous times. They are a bunch of shit just to scare you and have you send money to them. I had one call me from a spoofed number from a NY police station saying they were with the sex trafficking division and wanted money.

been thinking about getting a burner phone - assuming the Text Now app will do the same without having a 2nd phone. Great idea and information - thank you. Many years ago after calling and going to an AMP, about a week later the AMP txtd me back and just said "Spa today?" - and since i was driving and work in a service industry, my would read a txt to me if i am driving - and guess what she read.... i chalked it up to spam that i get a lot of.
So installed the Text Now, and have Notifications OFF - see how that goes.

You can also use google voice. Make a fake Gmail account and use that to log on to it. Good luck

You can assume 60–90 days at a minimum. 180 - 6 months - is probably the maximum for any phone company unless they have a reason.

Curious how that works...unlisted numbers that can't be found when Googling can be found out how exactly? Would think it would take a court order or via private investigator.

Actually your phone numbers, address, name are all accessible on the internet - regardless if they are 'unlisted' with the phone company. Do you own a home? well the local tax organization makes the tax information on the property public information - that includes your name / address and phone if it is on your account. Also various member lists become public info and searchable such as school, volunteer, church, interst groups, etc.... Just try it - search your own phone number, or your address, name, etc., it will shock you whats out there. And if LE is involved - gaurantee they get whatever phone numbers called a certain number very easially.

Ignore the text and the vm. I one time had someone text me that they would be outside my house in 5 min if I didn't respond to their call. I had used my personal cell phone, not a burner. They had my name, my address, etc. I ignored and that was that!
