aren't those cards the same as a normal personal card? why doesn't it work

Sometimes prepaid cards don’t work on websites because they don’t have a name or billing address attached.

most of those prepaid cards allow you to it for online purchases, but FIRST, you have to register the card on the cards website so they have the billing address attached to the card.

While that is true, most people who will be purchasing prepaid cards to pay for memberships to sites like this are doing so to remain anonymous and won’t want their name and/or billing address associated with the prepaid card. Unless they use a fake name and fake billing address, they won’t want to register the cards and thus may not be able to use them on websites.

i have seen some cards that come with a po box already attached to the card. as long as you use that po box at checkout, the order will go thru.
