Hm... Mostly movies here...except the one underlined is partially a series.

Road to Perdition — karma, retribution, hope and youth

Infernal Affairs — the original source material for The Departed, far superior as well, two sequels as well — film is in Cantonese

Takers — an interesting heist film

Confidence — underrated confidence game film

The Bank Job — feels like a Guy Ritchie film with less comedy and weed

Blue Magic

Comedic/Neo Noir Gangster films:
-Lock Stick and Two Smoking Barrels // Also a mini-series, available on Youtube as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8bE2iA27AQ
-Snatch
-The Gentlemen

Pure Neo Noir
-John Wick 1-3

I'm forgetting a bunch.. hm... hope It comes to me.

I’m a huge fan of Breaking Bad. The most gritty show I’ve ever seen is Gomorrah. It’s an Italian show about the mafia in Naples and it’s currently available on HBOMax. If this was an American show there would be so much more buzz about it. It’s so well done!

Here’s a trailer to season 1. You can watch the series on HBOMax

just my opinions, dont want to change anyone’s mind or start an argument. The Sopranos had some funny moments; would not have been the same without Uncle Junior. And although they captured the low IQs of a lot of the wise guys in that lifestyle, I just don’t think it was an exceptional show. And the dialect coach for Gandolfini obviously never spent anytime in the North Jersey / New York area. Who speaks with that accent? Tony Soprano and Bruce Springsteen- two of the most famous Jerseyans that no one else in the state speaks like. Bruce talks like he is making fun of rednecks. But I digress. I liked Breaking Bad because the premise was more believable- a real life Walter White of course would have the technical expertise, and that scientific training could mean he is disciplined enough to handle the business side of things, driven by the fact that with his health concerns, he doesn’t have much to lose.

Thanks for all the suggestions but honesty none peak my interest enough to take me away from Billions which I am half way through, about white collar crime .

Narcos, Columbia and Mexico versions, Peaky Blinders both Netflix series. Yellowstone is good too kind of a ghangster western? But exceptional.
"Snatch" a guy Ritchey British gangster movie which I feel is underrated. I've heard billions is good too.
