Hey guys,

Just want to say thank you to all of you, for all of your quality posts. The quantity AND standard and caliber of reviews and overall useful intel has significantly increased in the past 6 months or so, and continues to do so on a daily basis.

Even with the sheer volume of reviews and posts that are coming in every minute of every day, we are having to reject fewer and fewer reviews due to missing required information. It makes our jobs so much easier to just approve, approve, approve, and just stay out of the way.

Our site is nothing without all the high-quality content being posted, which is obviously generated by you guys. Sure, there are always a few rotten apples in the bunch, but for the most part, our membership is super gracious with their time and knowledge, and from what I've both seen and experienced for myself over the years, the site is filled with really good dudes that are not only knowledgeable about the hobby itself, but many other aspects and topics.

Our varied backgrounds, beliefs, values, preferences, experiences, etc. make the site even more informative and useful, because at the end of the day, we are all here to have fun, be entertained, and have open discussions with guys that otherwise can't really discuss with anyone else IRL. Everything else is just a bonus.

Let's continue to help each other, make and keep friendships, share intel, and all other sorts of beneficial things, as the site continues to grow and thrive.

Thanks again, and our inbox is always open to any questions, suggestions, or for any other reason. Cheers all around, and carry on.

Says you… If you’re so helpful, why didn’t you respond to my request for a great wine to pare with my Vietnamese hooker and the likely flavor of her love flower, based on the typical foods of the region. I smell mild fish! Some sommelier you are!

Really.
If he has a booze question, he knows who to ask.

@Whizzard
I'll answer it anyways.
You only ever have to purchase two wines. Carlo Rossi Burgundy or Cavit Pinot Grigio. Just those two. That is all. Either one goes with anything. And best of all...they're cheap! Leaves more money to spend on the hookers, Vietnamese or otherwise.

You're welcome.

P.S.
Ask me about my whiskey...

That would require you to actually reach out to me :ROFLMAO:

Then you would know that wine nor Vietnamese providers are not my forte, so clearly, you haven't done your homework. Ask me about golf, cigars, and watches...some of the things that I dabble in, among other things.
HHNYC77,
thank you for being an awesome mod, honest and straight forward.
beside mongering, my other hobby is drinking excellent whiskey and collecting watches.
my watch collection so far is Tag, Omega, Citizen and Seiko.
i'm ready for a Rolex Batgirl but i found it very difficult to purchase one due to its low inventory.
my name is on several authorized dealers' waitlist in Manhattan and been waiting for 3 years since the pandemic.
one authorized dealer returned my request in 7 months offering me a new sub date but i told her i wanted a batgirl.
she continued saying since i don't have a purchase histroy with her i can't get the batgirl, WHAT A BITCH!!!
i declined her offer and she told me i will be off her waitlist.
i don't want to go to the grey market and purchase one.
any ideas and suggestions?
back in my head i should have purchased the sub date and then wait for the batgirl.

thanks

From the little I know about the BLNR, I don't think you can get one for list price without a long wait from an AD. It is quite a nice looking piece. Markups seem to be in the 75%-90% range above list price for a new one, or 50-60% above list price for a used one in a private sale.

Are you on any of the watch forums? I think the only way you're gonna get one is to pay way over retail, which I wouldn't do, unless you REALLY want one.

Are you only interested in that model? Like your AD friend mentioned, Subs are becoming much more available...either right away or just a couple of weeks wait. I think Daytonas are still hard to get. Buy the Sub from her and wait for the Batgirl...you'd almost be getting two watches for the same price!

Where did you buy your other pieces?

Yes, I'm in a few FB Rolex groups and what you mentioned above validates what the posters posted.
My friends agreed not to buy from the grey market which is crazy mark up.
I went to SL today, review later, and visited couple stores. 2021 Batman is priced at 15k. the dealer can outsource a new Batgirl for 18.5k. Thanks but no thanks.

Originally I was set on the Sub Date then I saw the Batgirl and I fell in love with it. You are correct of buying the Sub Date first and wait for the Batgirl but I feel like I'm trapped in the AD's game where I needed to start a purchase history with them. Its like I can't buy a Big Mac unless I buy a Hamburger.

Tag from Macy's, Omega from HK, Citizen from Macy's, Seiko from AD flushing.

That's unfortunately the process...don't think there's an easy way around it, especially one that doesn't require large outlays of money. Same with cars.

Not sure one could call a Rolex, which happens to be bright blue, and retails for over $16k-$17k on the secondary market, low-key, lol. But it's most definitely a nice looking piece!
