It's not crazy.
The "tech" firms (google, amazon, netflix, crapbook, etc..) poached fintech for years.
And pretty much for no reason other than to horde talent.
F them.
I'd hire my guys back in a shot.
Even the ones that's been out of work for 12+ months.
But at their OLD PRE-COVID SALARIES!
Not the over inflated crapola they got at bezos/zuckerfuck inc...

It’s crazy how tech companies are now focusing on profit. For a while it was the focus of growth.
From 2007 to 2019 we’ve been in the growth stage because now everyone had computers in their pockets.
I think we’ve reached all the use cases of the internet. I predict if no more interesting hardware comes out we will be in the age of maintenance. My work so far at Meta has been maintenance such as migrating PHP code to Hack.
I fear I will be the chopping board soon and no more going on appointment binges with LKS Mia with my RSU. LOL.

Starting in 2021 it became 240 but just like everything else that became more expensive as a result of the hyperinflation era of 2021-2022 so did mongering. It gradually crept up to 260 and then 280. Hoping for a price fall is wishful thinking so I just hope it stays at that price point for a long, long time.
You can't blame these k-orgs. What happened was the feds pumped a shit ton of money into the stock market. They argue it was to prevent a recession but I believed it was to save their rich friends. All this false value trickle down into the economy.
Cost of living in the Bay Area has gone up and they need to cover rent. The luxury apartments are so god damn expensive to live in. You should be glad there are many mongers with yellow fever.

I am in a telegram with another monger and he tells me of the good old days where k-girls were hotter. He tells me he used to go maybe 4-5 times per week. He stopped seeing because he was low on funds.
