Stay Out Of Passaic Tonight 1/14/22 For A Day Or Two

Major Chemical Fire tonight in Passiac at a plant on and around Market St. Fire departments responding from all over the county and surrounding areas. Evacuations for a 7 mile radius! I've been listening to it for the past hour now, pretty bad.

5 out of 7 hydrants not working...those fire fighters have their work cut out for them.

Could have been much worse. Fire apparently did not reach area that had all of the chlorine products/material.

I passed by yesterday (was on 21 southbound). Place was still smoldering and firefighters were on ladder truck hosing the place down. Icicles everywhere. Can’t imagine what’s it like today with this frigid weather.
