Most covid cases are mild, maybe just a few days off like 3 but cdc recommends 10 days off. Pretty easy to hide and just say it's there days off.

No one is gonna contact trace or let you or the orgs know if they tested positive, even if they show signs. Supposedly there was a girl who showed symptoms of covid months ago. Fever, no taste or smell, she was only off for a few days and back to work. Only heard about it through the girl grapevine

If you can narrow down the exact moment where an individual caught an airborne, highly infectious virus in a large metro area then you should be spending more time assisting the local health dept.
