Seeing Independent - What not to say?

Hi Experts,

I have been pondering about seeing an independent escort for a while and finally gathered the strength to book an appointment for next week, however after reading some of the recent LE sting operations I am a little worried about what if this also turns out be some kind of sting operation. Would love to hear from you about what you think.

So far I have only interacted with her via email and have not discussed any details. The only discussion has been about the donation amount, time and date of appointment. Nothing has been discussed about services in exchange for the donation amount. The provider also has a webpage that seems very legit and professional and explicitly mentions on the webpage that all donations are only for her time and company. However she does have a lot of erotic pictures on the website and has a ton of online reviews on TER. So far I think that I have not done anything that might be used against me should this turn out to be some sting operation.

On the day of the meeting - I do need your view on what should I do incase this turns out to be a some sort of LE trap? what should I say or not say that could get me in trouble.

Thanks would really appreciate any advise,

If this were truly some sort of sting operation then I don't think it would matter too much what you say when you arrive for your session. Just showing up at the agreed time and location could be enough to put you in a bind. In this case, however, your provider sounds legit and you shouldn't need to worry too much. In either case you really don't need to say anything. Just set the envelope down on the table when you arrive and go about your business.

Thanks - However help me understand this. If I have not said one word over email about any sexual favors, and after entering the room if I notice that its a sting and I don't utter a single word about sexual favor, then why am I in a bind? I mean is it illegal to see an escort and pay someone for their time?

If you're that worried, then trust your gut. But to be sure about how legit a provider is, do your homework. Research the number 1st. Legit long term providers don't change their business number often if at all. If you see ads online when searching said number, and those ads go way back to 2015, then go have yourself a worry free ball with her, and don't forget to review the experience. That's what keeps us all in the loop of who's legit and who's not.

Question did she ask you for references or any RWI to prove that you were not LEO? If not then that's probably not a good thing, most escorts and agencies will want to be safe themselves and not book with someone who could possibly be LEO. You could ask her if she is LEO ahead and see what kind of reaction you get but even that guarantees nothing, undercover LEO are allowed to deny being LEO. If she has reviews and a webpage chances are she's probably legit, would be a lot of work for LEO to go to that trouble to bust someone just for solicitation.

There is a difference between something being illegal and prosecutable, something you might be convicted of, and something that they will arrest you for, threaten you with, and harrass the fsck out of you till you bitch out and start crying or begging them to let you go. No doubt, like the others said, if you go there and they are LE, they will arrest you, and let your lawyer worry about whether what you did or said can get you convicted. While you lose your job, your family, friends, money, and get to enjoy honeybuns and ION for a month.

All that said, the advice given about searching the phone number or asking here is 100% right on. If LE was setting up stings using a long time number with reviews and people here vouching, well, they're really good and you're screwed either way. Just do your research and go go go!

I had my first indy experience a few weeks ago, asked around on here, and went with an extremely long time provider with so many websites and references that it made the whole thing comfortable for me and has now sucked me into the indy thing!

I'd be more worried about getting robbed (or having to kill two people and put their corpses under a motel bed) than LE, but that's me.
