Am i the only one, if i see a provider have too many reviews usually over 25 , particular now with TER open i see some have like 100 or more reviews, i usually don't even read the reviews and don't see, it is just the feeling the person is to commercialized and like i am another person on line in the supermarket, i have had 2 providers in the last 2 years, that specifically told me they don't wont a review now but if they do want they will let me know.

Back in the day when you had a bevvy of providers out there (late 90's early 2000's). boards like TER or Bigdoggie always wanted reviews as the guys were able to get free access to the details. The ladies wanted the reviews as there was the battle for the Top 100 or whatever the category was as a claim to fame. If there was a lady I wanted to see, I would look at the number of reviews, and if just a handful, the reviewers to see if it may have been a solid reviewer, a newbie, or someone posting as a favor to a lady without seeing her (happens all the time = a shill).

Now low volume ladies didn't want so many reviews for whatever reason or no reviews at all. They did advertise, but were very clear about not posting a review. Some guys didn't care, posted anyway, then came the need for the lady to have it removed. Remember back in the day, TER would remove bad reviews if the provider hounded them enough or were well known. Cash was king back then and then other ways to have them removed.

Do your homework, if she has many reviews, she must be doing something right, and the guys keep on seeing her.

Think with your big head, not the little one!

FYI, if they're advertising, they're commercialized!

Agree with what sushiman said. I'll also add it depends a lot on what period those reviews are over--50 reviews in 30 days, or 50 reviews over 5 years.

To me the most important part is who is writing the reviews. Every guy is different in their likes. I look for and value consistency across a number of reviewers, but also I find men who value what I value. On TER there were a few reviewers who saw some of the same providers as I had seen, and their opinions matched mine both good and bad. One review by one of them was worth 10 from writers I don't know.

Back in the Redbook days, there were providers on there that were getting a couple reviews every day. It was a combo of the dominance of Redbook in California, the openness of the market and girls using reviews as an indicator for what they needed to do better.
Nowadays almost every girl tells me no reviews, even Indies. Sign of the times...
