There used to be a Deli in Flushing near Shea Stadium called Furillo and Toto.
It was part owned by Carl Furillo, who was a great outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
We used to drive past it when I was a kid and my father would take me to Jets games (even though we were Giants fans -- the Jets tickets were easier to get).

And your review title made me think of that...

Certainly was there in the late 70s.
Coming over the Whitestone, we used to get off at the Linden exit to try to avoid traffic and that's where I remember it.
I think it had closed before the last game in '83 - which I was at. Was vs the Steelers. There was a somewhat of riot at the end...

Was lum's opened around that time? Or was that later in the 80's.. my parents family friend of mine (older) had some accounts in flushing and always made sure he stopped by there. As I remember when I was a young lad.

Lum's was great! Chili dogs!
We used to go to the one in Mt. Vernon. And Florida.
I think it was gone by the early 80s though. At least from what I recall.
