"Jenny works hard to make sure her customers have a good experience." Gotta say I disagree. As you say she utterly lacks self-awareness that her "tedious" joking kills the mood. She does not react to social cues. She's no dummy, so my guess is she doesn't give a crap what we think about her schtick. Also, stopping the massage every three minutes to ask you dopey questions about girlfriends does not lead to a good experience.

I saw Jenny when she worked at “Goodtime Spa” in Fair Lawn about 3 years ago. She’s very good (not great) and in my numerous times seeing her, the good far outweighs the bad but she isn’t for everyone. She clearly knows how to treat her people and that is all she needs to do.
