I did some research after receiving a tip from a member. City is trying to squeeze these local massage jointthrough the buildings department. If anyone is interested, google nyc.gov bis. It stands for building information system. Type in grand oaks address 83-08 Grand Ave
In Queens. Look at violations OATH. They are issuing violations for illegal massages rooms. Civil penalties. Trying to scare them this way. Did the same down the block a Serenity on Grand if you input their address. Serenity is staying open, they just aren’t turning on the open sign. In reality, you can just pay the fine or probably ignore it for awhile.

I called today, it went to voice mail. Hung up and got a call back immediately. Asked how much for the hour $40 a female voice said. Asked what time they close she said they closed now, she forgot?! What time they opened she said not sure. I guess it's just a wait and see.

Hopefully they realize these buildings civil penalties are levied against the property and addressed to the owner of the property. Their lease probably says they are responsible for civil penalties. However, it is the landlord who has to show up at the oath hearing and pay up. The landlords know the deal who they are renting to. This may force a conscious landlord to get them out or in these commercial retail space times that are today, may just keep them a while longer knowing they are getting green every month.

Too many schools and daycares on Grand Avenue and many residents complaining.
