Yeah, that was me.
I had called and made the 10 am appointment the day before. On my 45 minute drive over through the crappy weather, I got a text at 9:40 confirming the appointment, setting out the services and prices, said Amy was waiting and asked if I was still coming. I replied I would be there soon and she repeated "waiting for you." I arrived at 9:58, rang the bell, and an irritated woman wearing only a wraparound towel (guessing this was Amy) opened the door and told me I had to wait 15 minutes. I said I had a 10 o'clock appointment with Amy and she repeated "wait 15 minutes."
I said I didn't have time (true, I was on a tight schedule) and she just said okay. Nothing about come back later, it would be worth my time or something else that might persuade me to wait. Just an irritated look and closed the door. Most rude behavior I have ever experienced in an AMP.
I texted (in a polite tone) the spa about the contradiction of telling me twice that Amy was waiting for me and then being busy with someone else when I arrived on time. Received text 30 minutes later from the spa, no apology, just about "you come over now." I replied it was too late and she texted back "OK." That was it.
I think most of us have been inconvenienced by conflicts in scheduling or other reasons an appointment would not work. Both other times that happened to me (once in Collegeville, once in Philadelphia), the spa made up for it by not charging a house fee the next visit. No such offer here.
Wasted morning - won't make the effort again.
