Was planning to see her, but did not want to risk getting a bill from the highway department about taking the toll road and then having to explain that to my wife while she is away in Europe.
Consider taking the back roads, but that would take too long from where I am.

Just out of curiosity, how were you ‘planning’ to go see her if you’re either afraid to get caught or don’t want to take the back roads?
