I was getting my knob polished in a low-plasterboard-wall-curtains-for-doors joint in 2011 or 2012 and the dude next door was consoling the mid 30 years-old shop newbie who was complaining how she wanted to get married or find a “legit” massage place. He was all sympathy, offering to reach out to his network... sounded like he was reaching for his wallet too. He was not getting his knob polished. The next day, a thread showed up on the monger boards about “how do I help a sweet girl find a legit massage job where she can meet a nice doctor husband?”

The week before I told the same girl I was working 55-60 hours a week at a dead end low paying job that I hated and couldn’t see going anywhere but was hoping someday to miraculously break out and have the cash and time to marry a nice Chinese girl. It was a story designed to get me sympathy while also knocking me off the prospect list and it worked. Sadly it was also a story largely based on the truth.

Customers and AMP girls alike all have the half lies and half truths we tell each other to improve the experience. There’s nothing wrong with believing the stories but I think it’s better if you dont carry them around all the time and definitely better not to post them to monger boards.

Very well said. These are business transactions, and we may sometimes parse out any shred of humanity in these dealings to legitimize the experience, but let’s get real here.
