I'm just answering the question. You might not care about how people identify their orgins but it helps to describe exactly what you're getting. But I think we've already figured out there are two black girls there, Emily and a Sara?
.
It sounds like something hipster whites came up with.

Nah, you're just uneducated about history. Being honest. It matters a lot, and the fact that people in this thread don't understand that Latina and black aren't inherently separate things is indicative of the problem afrolatinas have faced for years within and outside the community.

It’s not something white hipsters came up with. Afro Latinos is what black Latinos call themselves Latin America is a multi racial place. One example from the same country: Celia Cruz is a black Cuban/Afro Latina/Afro-Cuban; while Marco Rubio is a white Cuban ( or descended from white Cubans as he was born in the US.) From Brazil, Giselle is clearly white while Pele is clearly black. And of course millions are mixed, especially with native Indian blood.

wtf are u guys talking about? latina black? is that some new shit like latinx or something?

the last i checked we have black(american), island blacks(jamaica, trinadad, hiati, etc), africans, and then u have blacks from other countries like france and the UK.

honestly, please explain this term to me.
Africans were brought to Spanish speaking Islands during slavery also. There are people of African descent all over Central and South America. Puerto ricans, Cubans, Dominicans and Brazilians are the most well known but Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela and other countries have Black populations or are mixed with Black as well as European and Indigenous people.

So splitting hairs in order to create imaginary boundaries. When u tell me a girl is Dominican it should be understood that she can be dark or light. I don’t need to talk about Spanish colonization.
Cultural boundaries aren't imaginary. If they were than europeans would have never even left Europe and came to the New world because their religious/cultural differences wouldn't have mattered and they should have just got along swimmingly
