I totally understand a womans right to not want to see certain customers, especially an independent provider or an under the radar unlicensed establishment.
On the other hand, any Licenced Spa posing as a legitimate business, that denies access and treatment of anyone of a protected class, specifically Race, is opening themselves to a lawsuit that they will lose, if someone was brazen enough to sue.
At a minimum, they need to provide a massage, unless the patron had some pretty obvious signs of some kind of communicable illness or a serious hygiene problem that would put the employee at risk.
It is a tricky position for everyone. AA men are not being denied access to this or other spas.
I am sure, if he just wants a massage, he can get a massage from any lady he wants, including Angela, especially if a lawsuit is threatened. But, is he really only looking for a rub down? If he wants to get to know the lady better, that is between 2 consenting adults and
not officially what this or any other Spa is offering. Whatever happens between 2 consenting adults is between what they are agreeing to, not what the spa is offering, right? Isn't that officially how this works?
No one is being forced against their will to do something they don't agree to? No one here would support that, right? Forcing someone against their will, is not what this is supposed to be about even with a fair exchange of funds. It might seem unfair to an individual but if a supermodel doesn't want to date me, maybe that is unfair too but...
I knew this was going to knock over the hornet's nest. I was only trying to save an AA person the time it takes to drive, the money it takes to park and the other hassles of setting something up to see Angela. That was also exactly what Angela wanted. She didn't want to waste anyone's time and money. Does she have exceptions to her general rules, maybe? I am just passing along what she told me.
