I don't mind paying some more for an experiences with a clean, independent woman who actually has fun doing what she chooses to do ( and make no mistake, they do exist, just not in cheap salons). It's her right to choose the rate and set a certain level of clientele. Trust me, most of the ladies prefer quality vs quantity. I try not to offer business advice to anyone unless they are family or if they ask nicely. Probably to my detriment, as I always wonder how are they covering medical insurance, IRAs, book-keeping, etc., but generally it's none of my beeswax if they prefer occasional freelance, a FT- replacement gig approach, or opening a storefront.

But if you pay for the hour, you should make it upfront that one of the services expected is receipt of management consulting expertise. Might be a way to test out your own slide decks, summaries of market data, etc.
