Currently it's the only way.
I do one pass in one direction , with my headphones on. Nobody even knows what I'm doing and I just blend in the crowd. When done I take an Uber or the train home.
If you want to be even more discrete you can walk on the opposite side of the street which basically has no AMPs and you can view from across the street.
