Does anyone reading this have a shred of empathy for the woman and what she endures? Could you imagine the reciprocation you might experience if you approached her with kindness, and thankfulness?

Hmmm very compelling argument! It’s like can you really blame the addicts rummaging the streets at Kensington and Allegheny? Or how about the tens of dozens that sleep under the bridge by the Convention center ? I do know here in the United States we are all pretty much given the same opportunities, the paths we take are completely up to us I highly doubt someone forced any needles in anyone’s arms down there at K & A... idk just my thoughts but I do agree with kantuchdis you’ve got some very valid points !

I would not mix drug addiction with lack of opportunity. Addicts have control in the beginning and make stupid choices. But lack of access to money because of ones economic status at a young age is the reason many are stuck, cannot improve their life with a great resume and a great job offer. Some of them are the 46 yo with the rough complexion having their tits grabbed because spreading her legs seemed like her best path to economic freedom.

Opens up the vast grey area of coercion and choice in this business: the spectrum from classic Human trafficking/slavery through debt bondage to desperate to make a living in a foreign country to the other extreme where providers work when, where and how they want. The authorities would have the public believe it is all the first category for political purposes. We know this is not the case with most of the providers reviewed here but nevertheless Kant’s rant reminds us of the reality that they are still not free or privileged like we are and their choices are limited. Even the Asian provider who has graduated from passport to DL to Green Card still lives in the shadows. A stressful existence.

As with everything in life you need to compare it something else for it to make sense. Immigration status really has nothing to do with this. 99.9% of the Korean AMP ladies over stay their visas. They haven't been trafficked unless you think they can traffic themselves somehow? Their situation in life might of forced them into this but if most of us won the Powerball we sure would be doing what we do too.

What other choices do they have? Work in a hotel? A restaurant? A cashier? If they are undocumented they are more able to be abused in these types of jobs.

It’s a myth that they get rich.

Immigration has everything to do with this: their status (yes they overstay their visas and therefore are ILLEGAL), lack of options, the threat of ICE/deportation etc

I did NOT say most were trafficked only that there are other modes of compromise of choice.
