Didn’t mean it to be a sad story, so much as a description of how the occasional hiccup happens.
It’s a bittersweet meditation on my own sexual needs in conjunction with testosterone, which naturally decreases with age.

You’re right - you’re no doctor . Whether it is Viagra or Cialis , youth does not negate ED. Young guys lose their hair , have ED , and carry many insecurities. In many instances ED drugs can be a segue into a normal sex life by deflating the anxiety of performance .

Albeit under a doctors care. ED can have underlying causes and is in many cases a precursor to a heart condition - if you take a vasodilator with an underlying condition that is already interfering with blood flow , you can have a big problem.

That being said it is the condition not the patient age which governs the treatment.

You misunderstood my comment. Of course young guys can get ED, and of course they should use sildenafil to help.
I was commenting on the use of these drugs recreationally, by young people, who just want the stiffest mast-wood possible, for as long as possible, even though their equipment works perfectly well.
Seems unwise long-term, if they’re doing so regularly, because it starts to develop a physical and psychological dependence, that will require ever-stronger doses when age actually kicks in and testosterone levels lower.

Actually there is overwhelming evidence that Cialis on a daily basis lessens the incidence of an ischemic cardiovascular event and or stroke by over 25% - in a society where 40% of under 40’s are overweight and exhibiting high cholesterol- it’s not a bad idea to introduce it early .

If the usage goes over 20mg per session as needed or 5mg daily yes that can get dicey

There is a growing body of scientific studies that taking PDE5 inhibitors like viagra and cialis is actually good for overall health and wellbeing, from controlling insulin levels and weight, to cardiovascular health. PDE5 inhibitors promote bloodflow, and better bloodflow helps the body heal quicker. Some studies are showing that taking them earlier in life actually has a prophylactic effect on ED - so taking them at a younger age actually can lower the risk of future ED.
