When you visit a provider in a hotel it’s a total different business model. The rate quoted, includes everything that is advertised. The providers working in hotels, also work in spas. They are savvy to asking for tips. In the spa, they know that mongers are willing to tip for more service. When you visit a provider in a hotel, there is absolutely no reason to give additional payment over and above the fee quoted. Another thing to be aware of when you visit a provider in a hotel, is most often they are not going to provide all the acronyms and services quoted in the advertisement.
The hotel model, is similar to visiting one in her apartment. I have met providers in spas in New Jersey who later left the spa scene and begin working out of their apartments in Flushing, Brooklyn and Bayside. They invited me to come see them in their apartment, I asked them how much, they gave me a quote and I asked if that the house fee and they laughed and said no it’s for everything. When I first started seeing them in their apartments I was quite surprised at what a great deal it was. And, naturally I wanted or felt I should give them a tip but I didn’t, and I’m glad I didn’t. All they wanted, all they expected was the all inclusive set fee quoted.
A word to the wise, and to the uninitiated to the hotel scene, don’t give a tip. If they ask for more, pull up the ad and show them this is what was agreed on. This is the service agreement.
And, don’t be surprised if they don’t provide all the services listed in the advertisement.
