The refund was contingent on my not writing a negative review.

Lessons were learned. We don't play the hate screw game and all that nonsense. These ladies must understand that it is their job to give good service if they accept your money. You should have walked the moment she started treating you bad and you said give me my money back. You thought with your little head and now they have your money. This review is not going to stop most knuckleheads from going to the spa. Meanwhile, this lady has already wired your hard-earned cash back to China. At the end of the day we're human beings. Did you really believe that after that negative interaction are the one of you would be able to flip a switch and get into the mode for a good experience. Of course not. You're paying for the physical experience and you're paying for the fantasy. She failed on both counts and I hope it never happens again because her service will not change until she understands that she won't get paid. No disrespect to the Op but I think the provider won this one.
