Funny thing, I saw Miko a couple days after Jimmybuckets14 did, and she told me most of her customers are white guys. So, if she's describing her customers as "uncles" they're not what tonymccallan thinks it is.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The phrase fresh off the boat (FOB), off the boat (OTB), are sometimes-derogatory terms used to describe immigrants who have arrived from a foreign nation and have yet to assimilate into the host nation's culture, language, and behavior, but still continue with their ethnic ideas and practices.[1] Within ethnic Asian circles in the United States, the phrase is considered politically incorrect and derogatory.

I had Miko a few weeks ago and that is exaclty how she was introduced to me. They told me she was FOB. I didnt kniw what that mean and I asked them and they explained it to me. I've never used the term before nor was I aware of it, but I'm now glad to know its root meaning. Its unfortunate that they are using the term themsleves.

Yea I checked and that wiki cites sources written after 2000 written by white people. I wouldn't trust them knowing what the root meaning of fob because that term is specifically and culturally so Asian American.

Literally only Asians use that word and there is no negative connotation with it. It basically means someone who has behaviors more associated with the culture of their homeland.

But thinking about it, if you weren't Asian and you used that word in front me, it'll come off as a bit racist if you don't have the Asian pass lol.
