I think giving an extra 60 or so gratuity on top of what I would think is the base for the service received is perfectly commendable. Service above par should be rewarded.

Tipping works in both diections!!. When the service received is commendable the tip creates the memory factor if rewarded properly. Next time, based on that memory factor, the service could improve or it could decline. Standard tip usually gets Standard services. It is the way the world works.
