Guys, we need to standardize here. If .6 HF meant $60, then logically .4 tip means $40. If you tip $140, put it down as 1.4 so there is no confusion.

this topic came up before on here. Many (me included) have always interpreted $ = 100, $$ = 200, etc. So when he put $.40 that means 140.

Guys, we need to standardize here. If .6 HF meant $60, then logically .4 tip means $40. If you tip $140, put it down as 1.4 so there is no confusion.

I feel he wrote it correctly. There are several other sites where putting the $ counts as 100...it's a pretty common abbreviation so .60 would be 60, $.40 would be 140

I’m with you on that. There are days that I want to take the plunge and then try to remind myself why I shouldn’t. Big head and small head are fighting this one out.

He typed $.4, that means $140.00. I know, is confusing, but that is the way it has been for years in every other website also.
