To be honest, I don't think anyone really can with perfect accuracy. Language is the most obvious sign.
Some people present very obvious Korean, Chinese or Japanese features, but a lot don't.
On my end, when I walk in with only English, everyone tries to guess whether I'm Korean or Chinese. Some just assume (and are wrong). I get Japanese, too.
