Take the train, that's what I always do.

How long does it take to get there by train, and where do you start the trip from.

Starting the trip depends on where you live, and the time depends on where you catch the train.

Penn Station to Flushing Main Street on the Long Island Railroad is 20 minutes.

I take the train from Linden, and its about 40 minutes to Penn Station. But I can read, catch up on emails, argue with people on this board, etc..... And I'm not frazzled by the traffic and the lack of parking in Flushing. Train is much cheaper too.

I drove there from the Princeton area on a Tuesday afternoon left around 2:45 PM. I got there around 5:00.
The last 12 miles from the GWB alone took over an hour

Coming home was worse. Got detoured into Manhattan due to an accident. Figured I'd just take the Holland Tunnel. Didn't realize it was closed at night. Took me over an hour to get to the Lincoln tunnel, and this was around 2 AM.

That's exactly why I don't drive.

You can take the train from Princeton Junction or Hamilton.
