The google reviews are pretty bad as well, but i forgot to say all we are writing is just a fever dream and some old guys living the glory days. When i went there was a large sign on the lapdance cubicles saying "no lapdancing allowed" which means this place has turned into a place to just grab a drink with a friend before heading home.
Whos the 60 year old, has a name. Sounds interesting
I go here at least 4 times per month.
For those of you that are a bit suburban and are afraid to venture into paterson, this is the OUTSKIRTS of paterson and its mostly in an industrial part with only poor spanish folk who scurry away when a non spanish person gets too close as they dont want trouble.
I come in over the bridge and its just 1 quiet street to get to 5th.
Half the bar is spanish and the other half are Brazilians who speak portugese. so I have problems communicating with the brazillians, but I found a brazillian who looks like she is in her early 60s but man is she all tits and ass but treats me so nice when she sees me. Id never mislead anyone to think this was quality.
but you made me nostalgic! I used to go to bottoms up in irvington in 2010-11 when the economy tanked and I had no job, i would go once a week and drown my sorrows with 20 dollar handys at the bar because 50 for pussy was too much
Now I have the money, but the cheap spots like that are all gone. good memories

I was here twice pre pandemic. Once when a cute late 20’s Brazilian girl from breathless was inexplicably working here for two days and asked me to come. And about a month after that to test the waters again. 2nd was a tight Hispanic grandma (50’s) with huge natural cans. Railed both times behind a curtain within eyesight of the bar if I remember correctly. Not as in the wide open as the Rest a Bit Tavern but still a little odd. lol
Dont know her name, but she is short and curvy with blond/white hair and TRIES to get you to spend money on her. complete opposite from the one pretty chick that sits on her phone all night.
but she said she cleans houses during the day and works here at night. I am going to get her number and have her clean my apt for 100, and then clean my friends pipes for 150
5th has different phases. I used to work at the Bank right there in 2012-2014 and would go into tropical and 5th every night , rather than fight rt4 traffic. You would get all the spanish guys getting off their hard days work so it can get pretty active around that time, like 5pm. I wish it was open during the afternoon, but its not. I have snuck out of the house and gone here at 130am and it stays open.
I am more of a weekdays after 10 type of guy but weekdays can be as few as 4 ladies working, and weekends can be as many as 12.

Mickey Dee's, now that's a name I haven't heard of in awhile. Was only there a few times. I drew the line on going into that one specific area of Paterson where Mickey Dee's was located. My nerves got the better of me those 2 times I did go, and never went back. But heard lots of good stories that happened in that place.
That wooden chair in the kitchen was absolutely disgusting if you guys had ever saw in the light, which I did once. It was a crusty mess. I literally used to strip all of my clothes off before doing my business and that chair, and I always brought a change of underwear. However, that was the best bar for action during the pre-Covid days. Now, that building is a sports bar now. Not a bar. Bottoms Up will always be legendary.
