I’m seeing and hearing more stories like this lately bringing a lot of attention to this.. not a good sign. Gonna force LE to have to do something

The issue is that they got the ladies on film…. That will pressure some sort of action, maybe.

Surprisingly though, one of the commentators was an ex escort and she hit the hammer on the head real good. Said that these ladies are out here out of desperation. Maybe they’ll leave the area alone for a bit. Who knows. Let’s see what adams will do.

I know of 2 providers caught up in different sweeps- 1 in Queens and 1 in Manhattan. Both given desk appearance tickets and establishments shut down.
Be careful out there.

Might have to start doubling down on indy providers for the privacy and safety factor
Always do what feels safe to you.

But right now, from what I’m seeing, the way they are shutting places down is sending undercover in to see if they get offered sex (I read one article that said they sent 3 cops over a two week period) then they charge whoever is registered as the owner and also the landlord (this is a new thing). The whole thing last April about the Manhattan DA and other jurisdictions not prosecuting individuals for prostitution and is still true. Law enforcement keeps telling media they will go after customers but so far I’ve seen no sign of that. It’s a lot of work to go after customers and prove intention to solicit. I’m not saying I’m an expert but the way I see it the danger to an individual going into an AMP is minimal. Remember, you are going for a therapeutic massage where sex is possibly being offered to other customers but you don’t know anything about that.

Personally, I don't see the NYPD doing shit anytime soon about any of this. Not that they don't want to, or Adam's won't want it curbed a bit, but because the pressure is coming down from way up on high to stop prosecuting sex workers and go after the guys paying for it instead. Sex workers are taking to DC in record numbers to totally decriminalize the hobby once and for all and politicians are actually listening. Why shouldn't they?? They're the ones paying for the really high priced girls anyway.

What we don't want is loud mouths like AOC pushing the decrim bill because it gives local government the ability to tax the industry and forces prices for mongering through the roof.

In many European countries it's legal and it's safe for sex workers. These women need protection and a more respectable working environment. As someone else mentioned, the women are in a desperate situation where they have little to no other options for making a living. In many cases, sexual services have a beneficial therapeutic value mentally and physically for people and so, I believe there is a legitimate need and benefit to society if it's done properly. In the current situation where it's not legal, assholes feel emboldened to abuse these women and rob them. At the very least, these women need to be able to comfortably call on the police for help. Legalization & regulation is a decent option. Your wallet and "need" for cheap sex is definitely not the most important thing here. These women are humans with feelings and families and a desire to have a better life. Think about them for a change.

Lets not get ahead of our selves jumping to conclusions on price impacts. For example decriminalizing marijuana generally lead to market price decreases. A simple google search showed surprising articles.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...on-caused-the-price-of-marijuana-to-collapse/

Obviously these aren't direct parallels but we can't just jump to the conclusion that decriminalization would suddenly cause prices to sky rocket. If anything one would expect that those that offer it in the shadows would now be inclined to do so more openly, leading to less waste of time and resources trying to "work around" things. Second and most impactful would be the introduction of more supply into the market as those ladies that previously kept away from the business due to legality and safety would now be inclined to participate in new safer and legal environment. Potentially consumers would also benefit from greater transparency in rates
