The le will trace any numbers they seize their phones. It happened to me one time on burner phone.
I recognized her number and knew she was in jail. I received a text from the, my guess, le saying "I miss you."
I responded back saying "I do not recognize that number and can I ask who this is?
The, again my assumption, le never responded back. Several days later, she was out and she received 2 of her phones back.
I showed her the correspondence and she was glad I responded in a naive way.

OP - Pretty much all decent places keep the phone number you call in on. How do you think they know you? Especially if you don't go often. Are you serious? Again - as in another threat is the need for a burner phone.

Totally agree! Always deny and always use a burner. Also, always be vigilant to weird instances like Chiparlor mentioned he experienced. The problem I think exists when LE interrogates you and tells you that they have records of your license plate outside, undercover videos of your visits inside the spa, testimony from the spa girls, etc. Probably all lies but LE has a license to lie, most mongers probably fall for it when they play "Mr. Nice Guy" and tell them that they won't be in any trouble if they tell the truth.
