Payment by E-Bay Cards... ONLY E-Bay cards?

I ran into an indy passing through that won’t take cash... Just E-Bay cards. She cites fake notes and getting robbed. She isn’t exactly staying in a hood hotel.

What do you all make of that?

It sounds suspicious but from a scamming point of view, I just don’t see how that works. I mean hypothetically it would be easier for us to scam her by having the card drained mid session or if she takes the card and bails. I don’t see the angle.

Once she cashes in the E-Bay card she will drop out faster than a loose bowel movement after ExLax! Senior citizens are scammed out all the time with those gift card tricks!
