Lately I been trying new legits spots in astoria but I notice that most of them asked for a lot of tip. My regular massage usually cost 50-60 per hour. I usually give $10 for that as tip but in the last couple of places they have asked me for $20 for the hour. I am looking for a nice spot with young talent and that don’t overcharge the tip. Any suggestions around astoria.

A real tip for a Real massage is 20%. So for the $50 it would be $10 and on the $60 it would be $12.

That said for a good Real Massage I normally do give $20.

Thats the new norm, before, like a year ago at flushing they would be happy with a 5 dollar tip for half hour but now they even have signs that state the minimum tip, the less you can tip is 20 and more in most places.

Maybe you should just invest in a massage chair and a mirror—that way, you can enjoy your "budget-friendly" experience without the inconvenience of human interaction or, heaven forbid, someone expecting to be paid for their labor. Or better yet, start your own spa where you can underpay employees to your heart's content. Who needs dignity when you’ve got savings, right? Happy hunting—may your wallet stay heavy and your conscience light.

I tip my girl $40 for 2 hour massage she does my feet walks on my back, does my head and face even stretches me the best she can( i out weight her by 150lbs. She even lets me rub here calves sometimes if I could get a HJ this would be the perfect place and she would be the perfect masseuse lol. I tip her well because I appreciate her effort I know she's working hard because I can hear her breathing heavily lol sometimes i even see the sweat on her face. I also tip well because I want a good massage the next time I visit. Depending on the place it's like a 60 40 split so maybe they getting $16 from the $40 massage

Agree on this, 20 per hour is a fair rate in tipping if they aren’t screwy with effort or time
