Hi fellow mongers

I used to frequent the site quite a lot. Having time collisions scheduling to meet girls and PMing BrettK for provider phone numbers. Since I was layed off in May and relocated to LA for cheaper housing, I haven't been here as much.

One of the reasons I was living in NYC was for this hobby. With COVID hitting NYC very hard it didn't make sense for me to stay there anymore.

However, with the vaccine being widely available to 16 and up now, do you think NYC will bounce back? With the rebirth of the city would mean more new girls (I hope) and another reason for me to move back to the greatest city.

What are your thoughts on how NYC has been 1 year past the lockdown and what are your thoughts on NYC moving forward?
Hoping to hear from some of the regulars like slim and such. Hope everyone has been well or getting to a better place.

A lot of people think NYC will decline but it looks like it'll bounce back quickly. Older millennials with kids are moving out (and they tend to be wealthier so thats a lot of tax dollars moving away) but I think they will be replaced by recent college grads looking to experience a rejuvenated city.

To hell with 2019.
I want to get back to pre-2016 levels.
And that goes for all agencies, not just the K-Girls.
Bring back AC/BAC!!!
I recall going to k-spas during that time. I recall that these girls don't dfk and smacks your hand during massage. Not going back to that era unless you really want a massage. Though there are more girls coming from South Korea and Japan because of their economy so that might be a good thing.

Um...which K-spas did you attend?
I went to both upscale 4 rose AMPs like: Asian Golden Flowers, Korean Delight, Silent Cinderellla, Hello Asian Girl, etc..
As well as the 2 rose AMPs like Twinkle NY, Rose House, Hot Pink, Oasis, Golden Asian, Asian Models, Blue Sky, etc...
No one ever smacked my hand.
And it was way more than just massage.

And that's not even mentioning the American Agencies we had back then...

I went to a few, but the one which I recall that the woman whom smacked my hand was in 34th between 5th and 6th near the empire state building, forgot the name of the place and the woman. It cost $$ at the time, so it was not a high end place.

Cheaper housing in LA? Los Angeles or Louisiana? Isn't it pretty expensive to live in the LA? Rent or own?

What about the talent out west as @chest_nuts mentioned?

Renting.. I wish I owned a place in either LA or NYC haha! I haven't lobbied since I cancelled my last appointment with red sun / Ivy in March of last year... I would imagine there are more KGirls here especially with KTown in LA being the most populated Korean community outside of Korea. But ive only hobbies in SF and NYC so have yet to scratch the surface here and without a job I dont plan on doing so until I can support the hobby financially haha

I was living in Manhattan at the time and taking a short train ride to AMP central / Penn Station. I was thinking of moving to Queens or BK but thought I would be paying the same rent here in LA but with the luxuries of having a more up to date apartment and having the beach close by.
The civvy's here are no where as abundant or as pretty as the civvys in NYC, so NYC has LA beat on that.

Once I get this job, ill do some field work and compare the monger scene here compared to LA. But I imagine it'll be hard to beat places with service like GGR/PH and even harder to beat my ATF in terms of look (Arie, Bin)

This is good news for the hobbyists in NYC right? recent college grads will bring with them some "fear of missing out" energy and that will attract other young people that might not be able to sustain the cost of living in NYC and bring girls to work at the AMP

I think its all coming back this summer. I'm optimistic.
I will definatelly be visiting NYC at the very least this summer if not securing a job and moving back. I am hopeful but I can't say im optimistic for the return... I read posts on reddit nyc and hear how there are more people out and about but the businesses are still closed.

All economists and investment advisor are pointing to a V shape recovery; however, I don't see it. NYC crime is up., anti asian hate is up. I fear it will be another summer of protest for social injustices which leads to street being blocked randomly, outdoor diner's harassed, looting and rioting in the streets. SOHO looked like post war Bagdad last summer. I was finally starting to see a glimpse of revival as the weather got warmer and another police shooting this week to lite the fire again.

As for the AMP scene I don't see many new girls popping up, the ones that stayed behind during covid may come out as the savings run dry but it'll be the same girls, a year older and some quarantine weight.

I thought all the outdoor dining and the outdoor bars last summer was very festive. It reminded me of being in Europe. Most people appeared to enjoy the closed streets and having fun drinking and socializing outside.

I'll hobby more when the weather is nice too. I'm happy with the girl that we have now in NYC.

just trying to look on the bright side. Things can get better.

It's the same here in SF, where I live. The outdoor dining will continue here, adding more street life. Shit happens, bad shit, but it's waning here.
And I'm taking cues from my companions, who've suffered alongside us mongers. They're upbeat and so am I. I'm so confident about NYC that I'll be visiting there in the fall. Making new friends by the hour.

I agree with this. I used to live right above SOHO and saw firsthand the looters and the aftermath the morning after. I don't know how SOHO is now but I always imagined with COVID and the looting it just doesn't make sense to keep having SOHO as a cultural hub / destination (it could be argued SOHO long lost its "it" factor and moved to Williamsburg years ago though)

I think the fear of missing out on looting will keep tensions high in that area

For AMP - There are ton of places in Manhattan that I haven’t been to and lots of girls I haven’t seen.

It feels the same since there are more supplies than demand as I am sure there are less mongers now than before and more girls are started to work again because they need $.
