Is it just me or maybe I’m paranoid I get private messages asking questions from people who joined same day
Of my reviews???
Did the guy share some info with you through the pm? Did the guy put up a very informative review? Maybe the guy just joined under a different name? Maybe the guy has even talked to you before? Did you answer the guy that gave you the useful intel in the pm? You are paranoid alright.

I am a relative "Newbie" to this Board, however have been an active member of a fairly wide assortment of Boards in the past dating back to the late 1990's. With that stated, I tended to respond back to the person asking a ton of relatively private or personal questions and had done no sharing up to that point in time, with a simple: "do not take this personally, however I am not fully comfortable sharing with someone that has shared very little in the way of positive content with me as well as the Members of this Board. I would have no problem sharing with you more at a time in the future, when you have shared more and have become a more active participant".

With that written, by all means we all have different approaches to such matters. My response above is just one that worked well for me for a lengthy period of time.

People are gonna share what they want to share. If he has a specific question about a review you gave he has probably contributed a review to have been able to see it. The original poster decided not to answer his question not a big deal

Not sure what the concern is here. If someone PM's you and you are uncomfortable in responding, just ignore the PM. This is not rocket science

I have not PMed anyone and left my first review today. I think leaving some to just "find out on their own" is not really very fair or right. The point of this is to share information and help avoid pitfalls and pratfalls. By helping each other, we keep each other safe and the girls/opportunities safe.
If someone is annoying, then block them. If they're just asking for basic or legit info, share up to where you're comfortable. If they're asking for too much, just don't respond or block.
In the end, if you're a regular and long time poster, you're probably going to be annoyed and pissed off. I am sure I would be, up to a point. Otherwise, I'd say find a way to help accommodate newbies. I had to lurk for a long time on other sites to figure out how to navigate even in a reasonable fashion.

I really think that your ending statement is powerfully correct: "how to navigate even in a reasonable fashion". Each of these Boards have been different through the years. Some were more private and far smaller in numbers than others. Some provided more relevant information than others. Others found "Newbies" jumped on almost like a fraternity initiation. Why that was done, I have no idea because we were all "Newbies" at some point in time. In my view many of the better Boards were ones where members help others when possible, however do that in a safe and secure manner.

Most of us have no problem helping members. But IMO you must establish credibility first. The best way to do this is to write reviews and share your experience. Some guys just refuse to write reviews for various reasons. Sometimes I will send a PM to those members and ask why. It is all about TRUST.
I am not just referring to LE, also could be the owner of the business next door, the owner or the spa , a jealous boyfriend. You just never know who is asking those questions. So for the guys that don't contribute you can understand the animosity to reply to your 25th post asking "What was the DAMAGE".
