Hotels of course. I somehow managed to sneak past security into the Four Seasons hotel bathroom at 1 AM on my way to NYAW once.
There's an Intercontinental and roosevelt Hotel next to Grand Central that have bathrooms that are accesible to the public.
Dont forget the St Regis on 55th.

I imagine the homeless would be up on this information.
Maybe drop a $5 on one and get all the best spots.

I usually just go on Metro North on the way down.
But on those very rare occasions when something I ate does not agree with me, I am always sure to bring my office building pass with me.
Haven't been there in 5 months, but its a 5 min walk from one of the Lear locations, so perfect striking distance.

Hilton Garden Inn (45 East 33rd St) has a bathroom on the first floor. Just enter and you’ll see the front desk on your left, walk past them and keep going straight and you’ll see the bathroom on your left. They have only two stalls. This bathroom also has music being played so you can take a nice dump with plenty of privacy. :)

Lotte New York Palace has free umbrellas at the main entrance (East 50th Street). The bathroom on the second floor is a bit crowded so take the elevator to the 5th floor. Nobody uses the bathroom here. lol.

Out of curiosity cause I’ve never tried to use restrooms at hotels when I wasn’t a guest, they don’t care if you just waltz in off the street?? Or do you have to act like you’re staying there lol

Most of the time, the front desk is busy and they don’t care.

If they greet me and ask me how they can help me, I just ask them where the bathroom is (pretend that I’m a guest). lol.

Hilton Garden Inn -you need to be buzzed in these days-true with couple of others hotels where I meet my SB. Reception watches and questions anyone without a keycard. New safety protocol.

This use to work pre COVID. I would always duck into a hotel for the bathroom when I was in the city, both for mongering and just because nature calls. A hotel bathroom is always clean and little used compared to a restaurant or fast food place.

The only issue I've had post COVID is that so many are now cautious about people coming in and out and for a while all the bathrooms were closed off. They were telling everyone to use the one in their "rooms", obviously assuming everyone in there is a guest.

Duh, Bryant Park.
Not currently lol..they have attendants that let males and females in one at a time, even if you only wanna take a piss you wait in line. The last time I tried going there the line was literally like halfway from the restrooms to the end of the street where the subway entrance is, maybe it was a one time issue

58th and Lexington, the Container store, 2nd floor. Also NYAW is very near too if you know the spa.
Container store is one of the best retail places for public bathroom. Most of the times is always clean, well stocked with soap and paper towels and have hot running water!! They have another location on 18th Street and 6th Avenue if you are near that area...

Table Time, 20 E 42nd St, New York, NY 10017 has been open through the pandemic. You need to buy something and the bathroom code is on the receipt. Only issue is the bathroom is very small. It seem like the little COVID-19 bugs would hang out in there.

All the Chic-Fil-A's have the same set up with the bathroom code on the receipt.
