You sound like the actual Japan expert in this thread, so it's you I need to check in with before the next visit. Happy to swap stories any time.
I am a Tokyo veteran although the Pandemic has affected a lot of the shops that I used to visit.

I was referring to the quote "all the cute slender stylish J-Girls in nyc are working in the spas, haha."

For starters, there are a lot of cute slender stylish J-Girls in NYC working at several Japanese corporations and banks/brokerages. That's just for starters. One needs to look in the right places.

I have met 2 J-girls non pro in nyc. One working at a hair salon another an english course student. I have yet to conquer the piano bars.
For the Japanese Piano Bar girls, the most sincere appreciation you can give them is to visit the Piano Bar and ask the manager to be with her again.

These girls are much more well-mannered and mature than the Korean room salon girls.

So grab dinner with the Piano Bar girl and then walk over to the Piano Bar together and ask the manager that you want to be with her.

I was able to get into Kaoru because I met the owner at a golf tournament. So I was lucky.

A Japanese attorney took me to another Japanese Piano Bar in the city. So I was lucky again. lol.

I’d say 90% of the customers are Japanese, 5% are Jewish and the other 5% are Korean. It’s also business casual (suit but no tie).

I'm not sure how this non sequiturial reference came about. However, my advice is: don't even dream about telling jokes about bringing drugs into Japan. Between now and when the ball drops again in Times Square I could tell stories about Nihonjin and Gaijin who got caught with 0.5 grams of weed.
Brings to mind that back in the day, that after being warned, even the Beatles got locked up for having trees in their luggage. Not sure of the details but I recall it was iffy for them getting out.

so what is the best way to pick up these japanese girls? i watch anime and have omakase sushi sometimes. is that enough to kick start?
Last time I was at omakase with a Japanese girl she got us star treatment. The sake servings were filled to the brim and the chef and staff very obviously accommodated our request - such as no Uni

We were surrounded by both sides of Koreans so I felt out of place being the only non Asian in the whole place.

What? Your talking to a Beatles expert here and I've never heard that. Perhaps you meant Paul's 1980 bust in Tokyo for having weed in his luggage.

When my face is in between some Japanese cutie's legs, that's all the high I need.

But that has nothing to do with meeting Japanese civilian girls in New York.

Guys - please note, Omakase simply means "at the chef's discretion." It applies to other cuisines beyond Sushi.

Sorry I got cut off.

I just want you guys to know so that you aren't met with blank looks if you say to a J-Girl: "Let's go for Omakase."

Also, there are no requests in true Omakase.

What’s it like at these piano bars I see kaoru on Google? Will they turn me away if I’m not Japanese or something? And if I get in what’s it like? Do they give me girls? Are they pros? I’m curious lmaoooo
