Manscaping / grooming before session

Do mongers generally manscape before a session? I have somewhat of a hairy back and am self conscious about it from time to time. I’m wondering if people have experienced more YMMV when it’s someone hairy vs. someone smooth. I have to imagine providers prefer a smooth canvas lol. But I’ve also heard a fresh shave and the massage oils don’t always mix together nicely. Thoughts?

Masseuses probably have individual preferences. Laser removal isn't bad, you pretty much have to have dark hair though. Takes a few months to get the real results, but lasts many years for most people, myself included. I would never recommend fresh shave + oil + friction though.

I get my back waxed on a regular basis. Lasts about 3 months

For a woman I'm paying for her time, I wouldn't even consider it.

I don't even do that for the woman that shares my bed, just shave your Shaft... that's all that matters.

I personally do only because an old gf was insistent on it & it paid huge dividends there so it didn’t take too much thought to connect the dots that it would be appreciated by providers. I definitely noticed the gal at the therapeutic place where I’m a regular for almost 2 years was noticeably more touchy feely and pushes the limits front and back on visits when I’ve cleaned up a bit more. Not just landscaping but clean shaven, clean neck and other extraneous areas common to most middle-aged Caucasian guys. Personal preference clearly from a few of the responses, but for me the effort pays off.

It does help not being scruffy and irritating the tender areas while diving.

I do it for myself, not them. But if I can time is so that I am cleaned up for a monger session, then all the better for me.

Mentioned this in another thread on this topic, but worth re-mentioning since different thread...

If you are manscaping before a session, you should do it a couple days before, especially on areas that may be exposed to fluids.

Any small nicks/cuts increases your likelihood of catching viruses. Yes the chance is low, but with abrasions and cuts it is higher than without.

I always advise in life and in this hobby, do your best to mitigate risks. You can't get rid of all of them but reducing them is never a bad strategy.
