For those of you who are not interested to read a novel and/or dissertation, move on.
First and Foremost, I speak for myself. I really thank Top Jimmy for implementing this website because I have not seen the term AMPR anywhere on media as opposed to the RM. I really appreciate this site. We have been fortunate so far and I believe our fortunate lucks will continue if we use our brains wisely.
Most comments above were great from different perspectives and their knowledge.
Vongruber78 is correct that the le and politicians are involved behind the doors. I know one case because I witnessed it myself. As for others, I do not know and I am entitled to stereotype the politicians and le because they stereotype “all” massage parlors are illicit, which we know is not true.
Marines are not involved in trafficking. I am sure some of the military individuals regardless of being Navy, Army or Marines are in mongering recreation because they are humans as well.
Libel only applies to civil. Libel does not apply to criminal. Unless falsely accused of criminal activity and can turn 180 degrees and apply for civil libel.
Sex trafficking is out there. A national renowned organization realized that the term “sex” trafficking was so negative, and to make things easier was to say “human” trafficking to keep things broader with tons and tons of bologna excuses from the politicians.
Massage parlors do pay taxes. They pay sales tax. Gas tax, and list goes on. As for income taxes, they do pay taxes on that as well at the minimum. Say, grossed 200k a year. Business expenses 30k a year, they may report 40k gross minus 30k expenses to pay taxes on 10k. It applies the same to immigrants. They are entitled to pay less taxes as billionaires do.
I am not sure if our armed forces were underpaid for serving our country because they reap huge benefits in the long run. The human trafficking, according to history, started way before military were in place.
Prostitution should be considered therapy. The Asian thinking has been considering massage as therapy. Therefore, we may want to follow their thinking and consider massage as our therapy in lieu of saying prostitution.
In conclusion, again, I thank TJ for this site to stimulate our sanities, otherwise, we may have more mental wards out there. Again, most of your comments were very good with different perspectives and experiences. I really appreciate this site and your dialogues.
