Korean girls in Bloomfield supermarket

There's a Food Town supermarket in Bloomfield that I frequent, and numerous times I've seen a group of 3-4 cute Korean girls shopping there together, seemingly to get lunch. It always seems unusual to me because Bloomfield does not have a big Korean population, nor does it have many Korean businesses. I'm so tempted when I see them to ask "Where do you all work?" just to satisfy my curiosity and satiate my demented notion that, perhaps, they work in a parlor in the area that I'm not aware of.

I'm gathering that they may work in a nail salon or something, but one can always dream....

You actually sat down, rubbed two brain cells together, and thought this was okay to post? Smh...

I think a better way to approach this situation might be to see if they are buying certain vegetables or certain meats and ask them if they have any good recipe suggestions while referencing that you have the same thing in your basket. Tell them you love Asian food but just can’t seem to get it right while “cooking for yourself at home“. It’s basic social engineering. Inspire them to want to talk about something they’re familiar with and see where it goes from there. Asking where they work isn’t quite a “close ended” question, but it’s probably not going to get you far. I actually admire your effort and curiosity, I just think there’s a better way for you to go about it and that’s probably what the guys in the prior posts are getting at. Good luck...

I bet you used to tear it up in your day. That’s some serious game.

Here is an example of thinking on one's feet and developing a solid strategy. This is a good, especially if those girls are working at start up that's business casual.

Many Korean nail salon workers make only around $150 a day ($200 a day during the busy summer months) so I doubt they would drop $10 to $15 on lunch at a supermarket. Most of them pack a lunch from home.

Besides, I don’t remember the last time I saw a cute Korean nail salon worker. lol.

I still have an image burned onto my mind of a scene in H Mart on Long Island.

This Korean woman walked in and my heart stopped. She was at least 5'10", her short-shorts emphasized the perfect skin on her gorgeous long legs, had a tight top clinging to her well-toned torso and a face like a movie star. Then I noticed her 6'2" handsome Korean husband and her cute boy walking with her husband. Still, I kept stealing glances at this absolute goddess, while remaining discreet . . .
