If you have been on STG recently I'm sure you have noticed an abundance of Asian hotel girls being advertised for the Reading area. I wonder if some one is testing the waters to see if a FS spa would work here.

Yes, unfortunately you're correct. But it got me thinking about why it wouldn't be tolerated in the area. Years ago, before my time, Reading had some amazing massage parlors. Why were they able to exist in the area back then and not now?

I'm not directing this question just to you, but rather simply asking if anyone knows what changed.

Yes, unfortunately you're correct. But it got me thinking about why it wouldn't be tolerated in the area. Years ago, before my time, Reading had some amazing massage parlors. Why were they able to exist in the area back then and not now?

There's a deeper issue. Berks county is fucking awful in general, and I've lived and worked there off and on for a lot of my life. Hyper conservative fiscally and socially. The county would rather worry about issues that effect "morality " and remaining true to the conservative majority than address the rampant poverty in reading and surrounding areas. It's frankly a cesspool. Don't believe me, take a drive through reading. Sadly, their idea of helping is to shut down Amps in the name of decency than actually effect change by helping the poor and huge minority populations.

I understand what you're saying and it may very well be true. But I'm still curious about why it was so much better for the industry back 20-30 years ago. Was there not the "hyper conservative" population back then as well?

it does suck… Silver Spa in the Shillington area was awesome! Also some great non-amp spas- Odyessy comes to mind.
