I'm an ethnic 5'10 man that's like 5/10 in looks. I barely have success at bars unfortunately. All women under 25 want is tall white men. Only your average blonde 6'4 football player is going home with women nowadays

bar or restaurant. I am not #2, and I have women hit on me all the time when I am reading at those places, or Starbucks, etc. Having a book is an excellent ice breaker. "oh, I was thinking about reading that. have you tried _____". A few years ago I was in bowling league and I would stop and a local Panera in between the lanes and my office. I had time to kill and always had a book. There was a cashier there who always commented on what I was reading, and almost every single time there someone else (always a woman) would see me reading and we would have a conversation. If I had wanted to, I could easily have taken those "to the next level". I think there is something secure to them and they see a confident man when they see someone sitting by themselves and reading a book.
