Let's think about it. If it was as easy catch HIV as most people think it is, many more heterosexual people would have it.
The key seems to be direct blood to blood transfer. IV Drug users sharing needles was a big source, it makes total sense. Gay men doing it without lube, much easier to have micro tears in the skin opening blood to blood opportunities, makes sense. A lady who hasn't had sex in 4 weeks doing it with a larger man, might create opportunities for more micro tears and blood to blood, but a simple use of lube makes that whole thing much smoother. The front door on a woman is designed for sex. So a pro who's front door is rather well conditioned to sex, it is much more capable to handle the action. IV drug users and closeted gay men, I feel aren't going to an AMP to pay for it. A married bi-man I feel is going to a gay prostitute if he is going to pay for it.
I remember reading a very NOT-PC article by today's standards. That is lower africa that the men there were with their wives or another woman, and if she "got wet (natural lubes)" from excitement before having sex, the tradition was, she had just been with another man. So women would use powders or even very fine sands, to dry themselves out. Talk about a recipe for trouble with blood to blood opportunities. Makes total sense, that the area had a major HIV issue. Not a report that most newspapers would print even today. but if you remember it was only IV drug users and gay men that had major problems and the outlier within the heterosexual communities was southern africa.
Finally Magic Johnson's wife hasn't caught HIV, think about that. Not direct proof one way or the other but considering the HIV warnings you hear about you would think she would of been doomed and most likely would of had a 100% chance of getting infected. Maybe it was a shame marriage? Life is a roll of the dice.
Not justifying anything just trying to point towards some areas for you to do your own research on. I am NOT a doctor or medical professional. There are certain trends within the general statistics. I heard someone say KIDS are much more worrisome over AIDS to them, I thought that was good and have seen other guys say it from time to time.
