Definitely don't use Google Voice since it installs the account on your phone. Talkatone separates your accounts and easy to uninstall.

There are sooooo many apps now a days that allow you to talk and text from your cel phone with other numbers. they can never get your info. Look up Sideline, Burner, TextFree (those are just three apps out there that i use).

As far as the 'blackmail'..why would a provider risk their income and reputation to blackmail anyone? You name this provider and they are out of business tomorrow, Im not saying it cant happen and I'm sure it has happened but just seems like unless they know you have some major cash or if you are like a celebrity why would they bother. Almost seems like they have more to lose than you unless maybe they are planning to retire and just don't give a shit about their reputation

I install TextNow when I need it and uninstall when I don’t.
I’ve had the same number for at least 10 years.

In this day and age with social media and snapchat filters, its very easy for someone to re-invent themselves. Providers are good at taking deceiving pictures, and Its not like any of these women use their real name. People have short term memories and will forget what gets posted here after a couple of weeks.

A lot of these providers have been locked up/arrested before so to them its not a big deal and that also means that they know how to navigate the legal system. You have to understand that their lifestyles are completely different than ours, their way of thinking is different than ours, and we have more to lose than the providers do.

Also i recycle my numbers often

I'm talking more one of these well known providers or agencies that have a big following, their own web site, twitter account, 100+ positive reviews on ER etc. Those ones worked to get their reputation and standing and most likely wouldn't just piss it away on some random monger. Then you have the STG type that you can never seem to find a review for, you deal with those types then being blackmailed could be in the cards
