Hi I'm a frequent amp goer...just haven't had the time to review on this site....but how safe is the area in Passaic? I keep wanting to go but the area looks kind of dangerous especially at night...anyone experience any problems in the area?

Never had a problem in those areas. At night, I’d want to make sure the car doors were locked when I parked and nothing valuable was in plain sight. Overall, never really felt unsafe.
In full disclosure, I haven’t been to the Passaic places since “defund the police”, so not sure if the situation has deteriorated

Safer than Paterson, Newark, and Camden that's for sure. Plus most of the amps are in the downtown commercial section of Passaic. Just stay on Main Ave and avoid the side streets.
Exactly what I was gonna say. Usually a cop car cruising down Main Ave at all hours just in case anyway as a deterrent. Gone there for years late at night and never an issue.

Can’t believe this was caught and posted on YouTube. This is the Popeyes next to New Happy. Hopefully they didn’t leave here and go a few doors down. Day time only for Passaic

Can't see FB post damn. Probably was a scary video I assume.

I drove past 785 today and was gonna stop in to check out the girl's face. The door was very big and obvious and it was next to a bunch of auto shops. I decided not to partake as I didn't want to park my car right out front. I didn't feel like walking back from the middle island parking lot 2-3 blocks back as I would look out of place. It was around 6PM but I wasn't feeling it.

I googled tokyo spa and looks like it's on the other side of Popeye? I guess I ain't going there late either!

Passaic isn't bad at all. And this video is over 1 yr old. And these dudes don't know how to fight.

All that being said I agree with the hobbyist who said Paterson, parts of Newark and Camden are worse.

I go to Passaic to pick up some food at a few restaurants and it's always chill there. Paterson was there this weekend. Newark time to time head there. Passaic the most relaxed out of all those spots.

Imagine being a grown man who’s scared to go to Passaic Bc you read some bullshit Facebook memes. Where did you read that they defunded any cops? You didn’t because they didn’t.

Scared and not wanting to deal with idiots are two different things. Seems like less idiots during the day. Being that I’m black, 6’8” and about 300 lbs, I’m not scared of most things. Except going to the dentist, putting all those tools in your mouth, lol.

Passaic has become a safe area in the past couple of years.
New Happy Spa has parking right in front. Area is mostly Hispanic I have never had a problem.
Although I’m Japanese 6’5” 195 lbs. I practice MMA and I’m very good at it, But thankfully people are very cordial to me. Go and enjoy before another lockdown.
