How do you make a withdrawal for expensive/long sessions?

I go to the teller when I’m making a big withdrawal. But if I only need a thou an atm is usually enough. If the teller asks I smile and tell them it’s for my girlfriend. That usually shuts them up.
I have never had a teller ask me what i am doing with the money i am withdrawing. It's none of their business anyway.

Thanks for all the answers. Most of my sessions are spur of the moment decisions, so I end up going to a bank that's near work. I'm not worried if people think I'm seeing escorts. I just have this paranoia about being followed and robbed; especially when there's one teller and a line of people behind me. I was just wondering if there was a better, more discreet way that I wasn't seeing.

The issue I have is that withdrawing more than $400 requires going to the bank during regular hours, which is not alway possible.

The other issue is that my bank if entirely online, so I can't even go to the bank anyways.

I just read this thread

Wow!
It is definitely none of anyone’s business why we withdraw our own money

Getting robbed is another story

I've always wondered what other people do to get money for a provider. If a session is 1k+, do you plan a couple days in advance and just go to an ATM over two or three days or do you go in and withdraw from a teller?

I personally withdraw from a teller so I can ask for hundreds when getting large amounts of money. I also hate walking around with a stack of 20s on me; but it always feels weird going up to a teller and asking for a large amount in hundreds within earshot of other customers in line. Anyone have a better way they go about doing this?
Alright, not to be a jerk, let me give you a cover story in case you feel the need to overshare. When we bought our condo, I used to walk around with wads of cash to pay all the vendors and contractors that we had coming in and out of the place. You could tell 'em that you just bought a place and you're fixing it up and the contractors only take cash. They don't need to know that the 'contractors' deep throat.

But seriously, young brother. If you have such a guilty conscience before you've even done this, maybe you oughta think twice.

I withdraw lots of money for lots of different occasions. Sometimes 5k+ none have ever asked.
if they did, i wouldnt answer anyways, it's my money and it's none of their business
Same.

With all the winnings i got from DK, i take them in parts in checks, 2k, 4k, 3k at a time. That way when i go cash them, it doesn't look like a big deal. It'll look more suspicious if i just had everything deposited in my account, then when i go withdraw 2k, or 3k at a time, it'll look totally fine.

If you bank with chase, many branches have the bigger ATMs inside that you can withdraw much more than usual (I think 2000?) And you can choose your bill denominations.

Or ask the teller for an envelope and put it somewhere safe before you walk away.

If you use the larger ATMs inside a Chase branch, you can withdraw up to $3K.

Personally I go to the machine, punch in 400, wait a minute for the machine to buffer all my 20s, stuff them in my wallet, and do it all over again.

Just carry a stack of fake monopoly money in a sealed bank branded envelope and when someone robs you just hand that over instead and hope he doesn't check it until after he's made his getaway.

Thanks for the info.

I use BofA and one near me has the older ATMs that don't have a choice for denominations. I think there's a Chase branch an extra block away, I'll have to check them out. I just hate the say and repeat process at the BofA teller. I say I want some amount of money in hundreds and then the teller repeats it back to me. It's not a problem when the bank is empty. But when there's a line of people behind me due to the lack of tellers, I get a bit paranoid.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I got a new tip out of it -- start banking with Chase or just use their branch ATMs.

No need to be sorry. You did not ask a dumb question either. You asked a question to the open forum and I respect that.

Tellers see multiple people withdraw 1K+ a day. The vast majority of those withdrawals are not for escorts, but for things like cash transactions with non-labor contractors or trips to the casino. My brother in-law's a bank manager (started out as a teller) and he doesn't bat an eye when someone withdraws less than 10K in cash (yes, TEN THOUSAND). If you're frequently withdrawing 1K+, they'll think you're a degenerate gambler. None of them will ever think you're using the money on a provider.
