How can we help?

I know many of you value and appreciate your special spots and are thankful to be able to hobby whenever you want, day or night.

After a good discussion with another member here @Bolo1, about the recent horrible events in ATL and how we appreciate what our local ladies and shops do for us, we decided to try and help our local community by volunteering and give back.

1. I wanted to start this discussion to see what others think about this.

2. We also wanted to try to find a way to keep our local SPAs safe and prevent this from happening here. Do you think we can do this or somehow contribute to help keep them safe?
I know some mms/pps have accounts here, it would be great to hear from you too.

3. If you already volunteer and give back to your local community (Asian or not) let us know.

4. Due to the serious nature of this situation please keep your inappropriate comments to yourself.

I’ll start this off by saying that my gf and I decided to go and round up all her friends (currently in vacation) to donate blood today after I was notified of a huge shortage in our blood type.

We also suggested to one local church for us to help server hot tea to people standing on line in the cold to get their donated food boxes. We were surprised to see how long the lines are.

Good to hear someone actually trying to do something rather than spewing empty words on the internet.
These are complex social problems with no simple answers and fewer people who actually care.

Mental health issues, isolation, loneliness, rejection etc must be major contributing factors that lead people to do insane acts. Trying to reach those people before they go over the cliff would be life changing for many. Not an easy undertaking and I don't have the answers but that's one idea.
Even making a simple connection is a good start.

Blood donation is a good idea.

Not normalizing and sympathizing with terrorist/killers is also a good idea IMHO.

I don't know too many people that think it's a good idea to "normalize and sympathize" with a cold blooded killer. I think you're reading a lot into my comments that I'm not saying or implying.
There's a major disconnect here (a sign of the times) but you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

I think we both agree that this was a heinous crime
and finding a way to minimize these shootings
would be a major step forward. Right?

I’m always concerned over their security. Maybe one of us knows a good security business to help upgrade these places UTR? I don’t know just throwing out ideas...
