Have any dominican take a ancestry.com test and they will have some black/african in them.
Yes, as previously stated.
The question is what do you call "black"? which is one of the dumbest arguments of all time.
Should be fairly simple. Someone with a DNA ratio that is African dominant--which can't be exclusively determined by skin tone or some curly hair. Or an individual--not Rachel Dolezal minded people--that choose to be identified as such.
Dominicans would prefer you never call them black
A bit of a misleading blanket statement I've seen countless times online, especially from non Hispanics (not suggesting I know your makeup). Many freely/openly acknowledge that they have African DNA. A good many, in the US especially, will be OK with the term Afro-Latino. But to say black and leave it at that, is felt as a dismissal to their heritage as a whole to just focus on one aspect. For Hispanics to hear "you're black" ... is usually interpreted as "black American" or "the majority of your DNA is African" (which is true of black Americans but not always necessarily the case for Hispanics)
, but the majority of americans could care less about finding a label outside of "black".
You could just say 'white people'.
Not so sure about. Racial/ethnic makeup of Hispanics, generally speaking, is way more intricate compared to Chinese or Korean. Saying Asian for either is fine for the most part in those cases... Whereas saying 'white' or 'black' just carries the American tradition of narrow minded perspective on Hispanic identity and understanding between the foolishness of "one drop rule" to the severely limited censuses of the past "your choice of white or black. that's it."
